What’s RESURGENCE about?

RESURGENCE is an EU-funded project focused on enhancing industrial circular water systems through the adoption of efficient technologies to support water recirculation, energy, and feedstock recovery.

The project unites a diverse consortium of 20 partners from 11 countries, combining a wide range of expertise to collaboratively achieve significant results and create lasting impacts.

The RESURGENCE project is designed to help European industries become more eco-friendly and efficient. The main goal is to make these industries operate in a way that uses resources like water and energy more wisely and reduces waste.
This will be achieved by applying the ‘’Seeds of Hubs for Circularity”(S4C) concept. The idea is to create “Seeds” which are early-stage hubs aimed to drive the adoption of circular economy principles in various industries.

This approach aims to create industrial ecosystems dedicated to achieving in water, energy, and materials:

Objectives

  • Enhance energy recovery and circular water management.
  • Improve monitoring, circularity, and management of energy and water in modular industrial wastewater.
  • Achieve energy recovery (heat, biogas, electricity) and generation from industrial wastewater treatment processes.
  • Increase industry sustainability through resource circularity and climate neutrality solutions.
  • Engage stakeholders and communities for a positive impact.
