Meet the RESURGENCE Partners – 20FIFTY Partners

What is your role in the project, and how does your expertise contribute to its mission?

20FIFTY Partners have 2 key roles in making a positive contribution to the RESURGENCE project. Firstly, we are responsible for the development of a develop a risk management model to facilitate industrial sites to identify and assess risks across the industrial water lifecycle relating to water circularity process deployment. Secondly, we will develop a series of digital skills training modules to support the competency development of industry professionals to support industry to develop the capabilities needed to implement the twin transition, an integration of green and digital transformations which is crucial for achieving a sustainable and competitive future.

With over 20 years of experience in supporting large industrial water users to enhance their management and stewardship of water, we have a comprehensive understanding of both the need for and benefits arising for industry in strengthening their water risk and resilience capabilities to maintain competitiveness, ensure continuity of operations and address shared water challenges with other stakeholders. Furthermore, having trained over 1,000 organisations to become better water stewards over the past decade, we are highly aware of the critical role of upskilling in delivering transformation.

What do you see as the project’s main benefits, and where do you think it will have the biggest impact?

The project’s main benefits lie in its ability to unleash the potential of its diverse range of problem-solvers towards a common goal – the optimisation of industrial circular water systems to harness the potential for water, energy and feedstock recovery across the industrial sector. Its impact will come from the synergies that are forming from bringing together the experiences, perspectives, technologies and skillsets of the 20 consortium partnersunder a single structure to test leading edge technologies and tools that have the potential to increase resource circularity and energy efficiency at scale.

If you had to describe the RESURGENCE project in one word, what would it be?

RESILIENCE.
