RESURGENCE Project’s Technical Visit to Organik Kimya, Istanbul

On June 4th, 2024 the RESURGENCE project organized a technical visit to Organik Kimya in Istanbul, Turkey, bringing together partners from the CETIM Technological Centre and Organik Kimya. This visit aimed to discuss progress and gain insights into Organik Kimya’s current wastewater treatment processes.

The day began with an introduction to Organik Kimya and a tour of their R&D center, followed by an exploration of their wastewater treatment facilities. The visit also included a networking lunch, fostering collaboration and knowledge exchange among the partners.

Representatives from CETIM, including Xuefei Yang and Alberto Maimone Camargo, were actively involved in this visit, sharing expertise and learning about Organik Kimya’s operations in the chemical sector and their wastewater management strategies. The visits saw the involvement of other partners like Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna, FER, Pozzi Leopoldo, University of Porto and the National University of Sciences and Technology.

Together, we continue to develop innovative technologies for industrial water treatment, focusing on the recovery of energy and high-value raw materials, driving towards a more sustainable future.
