RESURGENCE Researcher Wins Best Poster Award at CIBIQ 2025

The RESURGENCE project proudly announces that Ana P. Lourenço, researcher at LSRE-LCM/ALiCE, has been awarded the Best Poster Award at the 3rd Iberoamerican Congress on Chemical Engineering (CIBIQ), held jointly with ECCE15 and ECAB8 in Lisbon from September 8 to 10, 2025.

The award-winning poster, titled “Treatment of Pulp and Paper Process Water: Effective Removal of Optical Brightening Agents for Industrial Water Reuse”, was co-authored by Ana Rita Fernandes, Ana Rita Lado Ribeiro, and Adrián M.T. Silva.

Developed within the framework of the EU-funded RESURGENCE project, the study explores the application of advanced oxidation processes (AOPs) to enhance industrial water reuse and promote circular economy principles in the pulp and paper sector.
